Being frightened, the fascist Prime Minister, along with family and close party members, fled the country, seeking shelter in neighbouring country, India. Following their departure, Nobel Laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus answered the call of the people, assuming the role of Chief Advisor to an Interim Government on August 8. He gets up from bed early in the morning and takes a pair of bullocks and plough to cultivate his land. He works all day long in his land. In Bangladesh, farmers lead a very miserable life. If he can produce good crops, his face beams with joy. On the contrary, if he fails to grow, his sorrows know no bounds. Most farmers of our country live under poverty level. They live from hand to mouth. Bangladesh is mainly an agricultural country. Her prosperity depends on the development of agriculture. That is why, I cannot think of her without a farmer. Therefore, the farmer's prevalent condition ought to be upgraded to help his life reach a standard level.

Environment Pollution

Environment refers to the air, water, land in which people, animals and plants live. So human beings, animals, plants, air, water, soil etc are the main elements of the environment. The natural forces such as storms, cyclones and earth quakes are also a part of this environment. Environmental pollution means polluting the elements of the environment. Nowadays environment pollution is a burning issue. It is a global problem. It has become a tremendous problem also in Bangladesh. The environmentalists of our country express their great apprehension about our future environment and its effects. The people of our country are destroying our valuable forests day by day. The environment of our country is being polluted for want of sufficient forest resource. Unplanned massive industrialization is another cause of environment pollution. Smoke coming out from the mills and factories is polluting air. Smoke coming out from motor vehicles also pollutes air. Again, the waste products of the mills and factories are thrown into water, which causes pollution of water. The insecticides used in the fields of crops also pollute our environment. Environment pollution is gradually and dangerously changing the climate of our country. Many serious diseases are being caused by this. We must be conscious of the matter and try to get rid of this problem soon. The government should take all possible steps in order to improve this condition.
