'He is a great scholar' অর্থাৎ ‘সে একজন বিখ্যাত পণ্ডিত’ এই বাক্যটির প্রশ্নবোধক কি হবে তা জানতে হয়েছে। প্রদত্ত option - গুলোর মধ্যে option (ক) সঠিক নয়। কারণ বাক্যটি প্রশ্নবোধক কিন্তু এ বাক্যের অর্থ a গেছে। Option (গ) তে প্রদত্ত বাক্যটিও সঠিক নয় কাজ এখানেও অর্থ বিপর্যয় ঘটেছে। Option (ঘ) তে a বাক্যটি সবদিক থেকে সঠিক থাকলেও একটি দিকে ভুল। আর তা হল 'not' - এর যথার্থ ব্যবহার। প্রশ্নবোধক বাক্যে not ব্যবহারের নিয়ম হল not শব্দটি Noun - এর পূর্বে এবং pronoun - এর পরে বসে। সুতরাং সঠিক উত্তর (খ) ।

যে sentence বা বাক্য দ্বারা কোনো কিছু জানতে চাওয়া হয় অর্থাৎ প্রশ্ন করা হয়, তাকে Interrogative Sentence বলে।
যেমন—
(i) Do you like tea?
(ii) Where are you going now?
(iii) Does he read a book?
