Let, the cost price be Tk. X
So, the selling price be Tk.  $(x - \frac{16 x}{100})$   =  Tk  $\frac{21 x}{25}$ 
At 30% discount,
If selling price Tk. 70 then list price Tk. 100
so "       "     "     $\frac{21 x}{25}$  then list price tk  $\frac{21 x \times 100}{25 \times 70}$   =  Tk  $\frac{6 x}{5}$ 
Again, at 10% discount,
If list price Tk. 100 then selling price Tk. 90
so "    "     "    $\frac{6 x}{5}$  then selling price tk  $\frac{90 \times 6 x}{100 \times 5}$   =  Tk  $\frac{27 x}{25}$ 
So, profit will be Tk  $(\frac{27 x}{25} - x)$   =  Tk  $\frac{2 x}{25}$ 
So, profit percent  $(\frac{2 x}{25} \div x \times 100) %$   =  8%
