Difference of time = 3:00 pm 1:00 pm = 2 hrs
First plane travels in 2 hrs = 2×150 = 300 km
Second plane travels in 2 hrs = 2×200 = 400 km
The directions of the planes forms a right angle triangle
So, the direct distance = √(3002 + 4002) = √250000 = 500
km
