Let the number of boys and girls be 3x and 2x respectively.
Total students = 3x + 2x = 5x
Number of boys failed = 10% of 3x = 0.3x
So, Number of boys passed = 3x - 0.3x = 2.7x
Number of girls failed = 15% of 2x = 0.3x
So, number of girls passed = 2x - 0.3x = 1.7x
Total students passed = 2.7x + 1.7x = 4.4x
Percentage of passed students = 4.4x / 5x x 100% = 88%
