Let, the original number = 100
20% reduced = 100 - 100 of 20% = 80
Then, 20% increased = 80 + 80 of 20% = 96
The difference = 100 - 96 = 4
4 difference then original number = 100
1 difference then original number = 100/4
8 difference then original number = (100×8)/4 = 200
